Frequently Asked Questions
What is Penmen Cash?
Penmen Cash is a convenient debit account right on your Southern New Hampshire University ID Card. Make a deposit into your Penmen Cash account and you can swipe your card all over campus to pay for the meals you eat everyday, items in the bookstore, and the growing list of off campus merchants participating on the program.
How do I sign up?
All students have a Penmen Cash account. Simply use your temporary user name and password that was emailed you to log into your account and add money. If you are having problems accessing your account, please contact Off Campus Solutions at 800-345-6126 (M-F, 9am - 6pm EST).
Where is my Penmen Cash account? Do I need a separate card?
No, Penmen Cash is right on your SNHU ID Card. You can use one card for purchases both on and off campus.
Where can Penmen Cash be used?
Penmen Cash can be used both on campus AND off campus. To see a full list of participating off-campus locations, click on the 'Participating Locations' tab at the left of this page. We are always working to expand that list, so please let us know which of your favorite places we should add. Penmen Cash is not accepted in vending and laundry machines. You need to use your Penmen Change account for laundry and vending purchases.
What is Penmen CHANGE?
The Student Penmen Change account is a separate account right on your SNHU ID Card that can be used for vending, laundry, the Hospitality Restaurant, Caffé E Dolce, and the Bookstore (Follett) only. Visit the dining hall to transfer Penmen Cash funds to your Penmen Change account or deposit funds at the “cash-to-card” machine in front of the bookstore. To learn more about the FACULTY/STAFF Penmen Change account, please view the About the Card page.
Is a Penmen cash account the same as dining dollars?
NO. Your Penmen Cash account is unrelated to the meal plan. Instead, it functions similar to debit account and can be used at any of the locations listed in the participating locations link. Dining Dollars are the SNHU meal plan and can only be used at SNHU dining facilities. For more information about meal plans, please visit Dining Services.
